The coroner’s office has not yet released the names of the four people who were killed in the collision on Saturday, May 8.

The crash was reported at 2:32 p.m. in the 19000 block of Highway 243 near Pine Cove.

Corey Deshawn Cooper, 39, was gunned down while driving, causing him to lose control, the Sheriff’s Department said.

Police say the man was speeding and might have been impaired when his vehicle struck a light pole.

The fire, contained late Wednesday night, burned 226 acres.

A lawsuit filed by Kobe’s widow claims a deputy at the crash scene took between 25 and 100 photos that focused on the victims’ remains and had no investigatory value.

The driver, who was later identified as 35-year-old Nathaniel Cardenas, succumbed to his injuries on scene, police said.

It happened on Cherry and Santa Ana avenues around 8:55 p.m. on May 1.

It happened late Saturday near Kitching Street and Sunnymead Boulevard.
