The driver was detained by Ontario police following the violent crash.

The crash was reported about 4:05 a.m. near the Orange County line.

The California Highway Patrol said the 25-year-old Beaumont resident crashed his pickup into the 60-year-old Banning resident on his bicycle.

One person was found dead in the vehicle.

The crash happened about 6 p.m.

The Riverside County Coroner’s Office identified the 33-year-old man who died after he was ejected from his motorcycle.

A 45-year-old man was ejected in the crash after he drove east in the westbound lanes, police said.

The crash happened about 2:15 p.m. Tuesday east of Soutar Drive.

Three drove away with the idling car as the delivery driver tried to deliver the pizza, authorities say.
