The Riverside County Coroner’s Office identified a man who died after a crash on the 15 Freeway on Friday afternoon.

Gary Wilson, a 33-year-old Murrieta man, died after he crashed into a minivan and big rig and was ejected from his motorcycle.

The crash happened north of Rancho California Road in Temecula.

The California Highway Patrol said the crash happened at approximately 4:10 p.m., when Wilson was driving between the left and middle-left lanes on the 15 Freeway. All three vehicles were going north.

Wilson’s motorcycle and the minivan crashed into each other, which sent Wilson careening toward the middle-right lane, where the big rig was, CHP said.

Officials said Wilson crashed into the big rig’s left rear axle, which ejected him from his motorcycle onto the right lane. He was declared dead at the scene by Cal Fire.

Officials said the driver of the minivan was a 38-year-old Camp Pendleton woman, and the driver of the big rig was a 56-year-old Corona man.
