Police were dispatched at about 12:45 a.m. Saturday to the crash location near the intersection of Arrow Highway and Live Oak Avenue.

The Sheriff’s Department said the man tried to hit deputies with his car.

The victim was talking on his cell phone while sitting in his SUV when two armed men approached him.

A man in his 50s and a man in his 20s died at the scene.

The crash was discovered Monday evening, Dec. 14 at about 8:26 p.m. when Chino PD responded to reports of a vehicle fire in the 13400 block of Central Avenue in Chino.

The southbound 15 reopened after being closed for the investigation.

The driver lost control of the car which hit a tree in a center median, police said.
