With more people owning cars, traffic on the freeways is getting worse. Bus agencies are seeing bus routes slow down and cost more, forcing them to raise fares to keep up with costs.

The fuel spill prompted the CHP to close the No. 1 through 4 lanes of the freeway until further notice.

The crash was just before 2 a.m. Sunday on Irvine Avenue near Santa Isabel Avenue.

The incident happened Friday evening on the eastbound freeway in Corona

The tour bus had come from Las Vegas on Friday morning. The tour was operated by America Shengjia Inc. Records show it has two vehicles and two drivers with no history of previous crashes.

The driver of the all-terrain vehicle, a 13-year-old girl, and a 9-year-old girl who was a passenger were both injured.

SWAT teams searched a nearby apartment, but did not locate a suspect, police said.

The driver of a Cadillac Escalade moving east on San Jacinto Avenue was ejected from the SUV after it struck another vehicle near Lava Way and rolled over, CHP officers said.

Two people managed to escape a burning SUV involved in the collision on Saturday, Sept. 14, but suffered life-threatening injuries, officials said.
