SJPD Investigating Homicide #7

On February 18, 2024, at approximately 8:53 PM, Patrol Officers responded to the parking lot of a business in the 3000 block of Story Road for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, Officers determined that a gathering was taking place in the area and located two victims who had each been shot at least once. Officers attempted life saving measures on scene. An adult female victim was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries and remains in critical condition. The second victim, an adult male, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

SJPD Investigating Homicide #5

On February 13, 2024 at approximately 4:31 PM, Patrol Officers responded to a local hospital for a report of a stabbing victim who had been dropped off at the emergency room. Despite emergency medical care, the adult male victim succumbed to his injuries and was subsequently pronounced deceased. Upon arrival, Officers determined that the stabbing incident had occurred in the area of Spring Street and Taylor Street.

SJPD Launches Capture Crime Pilot Program

Tomorrow, February 14, 2024, the San Jose Police Department (SJPD) will mark a significant milestone in the expansion of the SJ CAM Program by implementing the Capture Crime Pilot Program. Mayor Matt Mahan and the San José Police Department have launched the Capture Crime Pilot Program in a proactive effort to address rising concerns over crime rates.
