An early report from the NTSB said the plane Esmail Soltani was flying stalled while on landing approach.

It happened Tuesday night near the intersection of Ramona Expressway and Lakeview Avenue.

It happened just before 11:15 p.m. on Saturday.

Edward Albano, 65, of Pasadena died at the scene of the collision, which occurred about 12:20 a.m. Monday on Temple Boulevard.

The man was pronounced dead less than an hour after the crash by the Riverside County Coroner’s Bureau.

The car left the elevated roadway and had been speeding, witnesses said.

The SUV went off the highest point of a transition road between the two freeways, witnesses said.
