A 29-year-old Beaumont woman was identified Monday as the driver who died when an SUV left a 210 Freeway overcrossing road in Redlands, authorities said
Karina Sarah Bernas was pronounced dead at the scene, south of San Bernardino Avenue, shortly after 4 a.m. Sunday, the San Bernardino County Coroner’s office said.
Witnesses told the California Highway Patrol the SUV had been speeding and left the overcrossing, according the CHP log of the accident.
The area is just north of the junction of the 210 and 10 freeways. No other vehicle or person was involved in the crash, the log indicated.
