A teen driver ran a red light, causing a crash that killed him, seriously injured his passenger and hurt six folks in a Honda minivan Sunday in the Moreno Valley, according to published reports.
The wreck happened at 3:16 p.m. Sunday. The 17-year-old boy, who was killed, was identified as Isaac Limares. He was driving a 2001 Lexus IS300, when he ran a red light that’s just adjacent to a popular retail center. He crashed into a 2020 Honda Odyssey minivan, sending six occupants in that vehicle to the hospital, and severely injuring his passenger.
The Honda broadsided the Lexus, as the Lexus ran the red light, knocking the sports car into a metal traffic signal, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
