1 dead, 5 injured in crash in Moreno Valley Red Light Run

One person died while another passenger in the same vehicle sustained life-threatening injuries, after a crash police say was caused when someone ran a red light in Moreno Valley, according to published reports.

The deadly collision unfolded at 3:18 p.m. Sunday at Moreno Beach Drive and Cactus Avenue.

One of the car’s occupants died at the scene, while the other occupant was taken to a hospital in critical condition. The other car’s occupants were  also injured. Four in that vehicle were treated at the scene. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office did not identify an at fault party in published reports.
