*UPDATE* LBPD SEEKS PUBLIC'S HELP IN TRAFFIC FATALITY INVESTIGATION – ARTESIA BOULEVARD AND DOWNEY AVENUE

Detectives from the Long Beach Police Department’s Collision Investigation Detail are asking for the public’s help in locating a semi-truck with an attached trailer that was involved in a fatal traffic collision on 10/21/20. The collision occurred at the intersection of Artesia Boulevard and Downey Avenue and resulted in the death of a bicyclist. The bicyclist has been identified as Lisa Termin, a 56-year old resident of Bellflower. 

Detectives were able to locate surveillance footage of the semi-truck from a nearby business and isolate the attached image of the design on the side of the truck. The semi-truck and trailer are described as having a white colored cab and large white colored trailer with a double stripe on the trailer.

On 10/21/20 at approximately 9:00 p.m., officers responded to a traffic collision involving a semi-truck with an attached trailer and a bicyclist at the intersection of Artesia Boulevard and Downey Avenue, which resulted in the death of a female adult.

Upon arrival, officers found a 56-year-old female resident of Bellflower who had sustained serious injuries after being struck by a semi-truck. The truck and trailer did not remain on scene and left before officers arrived. The Long Beach Fire Department responded and attempted life saving measures, but the female bicyclist succumbed to her injuries at the scene.

The semi-truck and trailer are described as having a white colored cab and large white colored trailer.

The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office will assist in notifying next of kin.
