It happened Friday night on the southbound 215 Freeway near University Avenue

Carlos Arturo Acosta, 38, of Homeland was arrested Thursday night

It happened early Saturday on Sunnymead Boulevard, east of Heacock Street.

At one point, police said, the driver attempted to ram his vehicle into an officer’s patrol car.

Police say the man, who had not been arrested as of Friday evening, and the victim knew each other.

The Toyota Camry caught fire in the collision after stopping in the left lane on Wednesday night.
