The man who died was a passenger in a car driven by the suspect, who “displayed erratic driving behavior prior to the collision,” police said.

The crash happened on Tuesday evening, when a Nissan pickup truck crashed into a Kenworth tractor trailer.

The latest to file lawsuit papers are family members of Newport Beach residents Sarah and Payton Chester, who were killed in the Jan. 26 crash.

The man who died in the crash was 23, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Speed and alcohol were factors, police said.

A baby, a toddler and a teenager were also injured in the crash that involved 10 vehicles.

The car went off the freeway and overturned about 4:30 a.m. Saturday.

Becerra says the alleged unfair competition practices may have resulted in an increase in the price of gas of about 1 cent per gallon.

The right four lanes and one of the toll lanes were closed for the clean-up, the CHP said.
