Christopher Michael Gardner, 46, of the Sugarloaf neighborhood was charged with gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated along with two enhancements of causing bodily harm or death as well as six additional charges. Men from Nevada and Long Beach were injured, a Long Beach woman was killed.
The 55-year-old pedestrian was transported to a local trauma center and later succumbed to his injuries, Police said.
