Family members of four of the eight passengers killed in a helicopter crash with Kobe Bryant and his daughter have joined the NBA star’s widow in filing wrongful death lawsuits against the companies that owned and operated the aircraft.

The CHP asked for the public’s help in finding the hit-and-run driver.

It happened early Sunday at the intersection of Towne and Lincoln avenues.

Police asked people to stay away from the area of Via Pacifica and Willowspring Lane as they conducted an investigation Sunday evening.

Firefighters were called just after 7 a.m. to the crash in the 800 block of Georgiana Court in Perris.

The pilot had moderate injuries and the passenger had minor injuries, authorities said.

There was a special moment at Friday’s draft for Kobe Bryant, a prominent supporter of girls and women’s basketball right up to the day he died in a helicopter crash in January.

During the crash, the man was launched 30 feet down from a cliff, authorities said.
