Investigators Identify Suspect and Serve Search Warrant

On February 10, 2024, at approximately 8:50 p.m. San Francisco Police officers responded to the 700 block of Jackson St. regarding a vehicle fire. Officers arrived on scene and located an unoccupied vehicle that was engulfed in flames. The vehicle fire was extinguished, and it was determined that the vehicle fire was the result of arson. There were no reports of injuries.

The SFPD Arson Task Force took over the investigation. Through the course of the investigation, investigators identified the suspect as a 14-year-old male and developed probable cause to obtain a search warrant.

On March 27, 2024, at approximately 9:15 a.m. SFPD investigators served the search warrant at the suspect’s residence. Investigators located and seized evidence related to the vandalism.  The District Attorney’s Office has filed charges in this case.  The Juvenile Probation Department will decide if the minor will be arrested or appear in court out of custody.

San Francisco Police Announces Reward Increase to $125,000 for Information in August 2023 Homicide 23-099(b)

On Thursday, August 3, 2023, at approximately 9:43 p.m., dispatch received a 9-1-1 call from a person advising they had been shot. Officers arrived on scene at the unit block of Kelloch Street and located a 22-year-old male victim, who was later identified as Relondo Jacori Bell, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Officers rendered aid and medics responded to the scene.

Medics transported Bell to a local hospital for life-threatening injuries. Despite the lifesaving efforts of emergency responders and the hospital staff, Mr. Bell succumbed to his injuries.

The investigation is being led by the SFPD Homicide Detail.  

The Volkswagen Tiguan depicted in the attached photo is suspected of involvement in the shooting of Mr. Bell.  It has been recovered. 

Investigators are seeking information about the individual(s) associated with this vehicle.

The San Francisco Police Department has increased the amount of a reward issued in December 2023 from $25,000 to $125,000 for information leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the murder of Relondo Jacori Bell.  A bulletin announcing this reward is attached to this news release.
