On November 10, 2022, at approximately 4:11 PM, Officers responded to the area of Cottle Road and Coronado Avenue to investigate a traffic collision involving a vehicle and a motorcycle. The preliminary investigation revealed the following:

A 2022 Kawasaki motorcycle, operated by an adult male, was traveling northbound on Cottle Road when it struck a 2006 Honda SUV that was turning left from southbound Cottle Road onto eastbound Coronado Avenue on a solid green turn signal. The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. 

The adult female driver of the Honda remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation.

This is the 57th fatal collision, and the 59th traffic death of 2022. 

The identity of the victim will be released by the Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office after confirming the victim’s identity and notifying next of kin.
