The California Highway Patrol said the motorcyclist was thrown from his vehicle after crashing into the back of a car.

The 29-year-old was knocked from her motorcycle after an initial crash, and was later hit by a tractor trailer

The victim, a Lake Elsinore woman, was found early Friday near the intersection of Mission Trail and Sylvester Road.

It happened at 9:16 p.m. Thursday at Temescal Avenue and Sixth Street.

The woman was a passenger of the BMW, whose driver led authorities on a brief pursuit before crashing into another vehicle and a power line pole.

The driver was treated at a hospital and released.

The Chicago-based company said some of the money will go toward living expenses and to cover hardship suffered by the families of passengers killed in the crashes.

Another motorist who came along stole the good Samaritan’s vehicle.
