The man’s 2018 Hyundai Elantra went “airborne” after traveling off the right side of the interstate, then landed on boulders.

The CHP’s three-day “maximum enforcement period” resulted in 30 arrests throughout the Riverside metro area and 55 arrests within San Bernardino County, according to the CHP.

Authorities say they will be out in force to enforce impaired-driving laws and search for those who fire guns during the holiday weekend.

The program includes a display of a vehicle painted on the front to look like a police car and the back a taxi cab and gives people the chance to test their blood-alcohol level without the fear of being arrested.

The fatal crash is under investigation.
