CHP released documentation that one person was killed in a DUI crash on Super Bowl Sunday in 2017, while 247 were arrested for DUI.

The pilot of the Robinson R44 helicopter, Joseph Anthony Tena, 60, of Newport Beach, along with passengers Kimberly Lynne Watzman, 45, of Santa Monica and Brian R. Reichelt, 56, of Hollywood, Fla. died in the crash, the Orange County coroner’s office said.

The Rialto mother and grandmother was killed only three days before her 56th birthday, family said.

The officers suffered minor injuries in the crash, police said.

The vehicle crashed into several fixed objects. Video from the scene showed the vehicle had crashed into and damaged a Marshalls store.

Davidlee Furry and Celeste Dominguez were struck by a a dark-colored sedan as they crossed the road.

The woman was crossing a street when hit by what police suspect is a 2004-2007 BMW 5 Series that sustained front-end damage in the crash.

The vehicle is described only as a dark-colored sedan. The victims have not been identified. A juvenile was treated for minor injuries

All three children were taken to the hospital as a precaution, although one did receive visible injuries, officials said.
