The defendant is accused of chasing down and ramming a group of teens who fled after ringing his doorbell, causing their vehicle to slam into a tree.

The CHP credits the proper installation and use of child safety seats for limiting the injuries to the children.

The driver and a passenger leapt out of a stolen truck, which travelled through a barbed wire fence, onto the 215 Freeway and into the path of a van driven by a 55-year-old Lake Elsinore woman, police said.

It happened Sunday in the area of Tin Mine Road and La Sierra Avenue.

The victim was killed about 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Goetz and Mapes roads.

The front half of the bus dropped 50 feet to the roadway below.

The discussion at a Feb. 9 NTSB meeting will come more than a year after a Sikorsky S-76B helicopter crashed into the foothills of the Santa Monica mountains in Calabasas.

The crash was reported at 7:52 a.m. There was no immediate word on injuries.

The victim, Elizabeth Roberts, 55, ‘doesn’t understand how somebody could do that,’ her partner said. The suspect driver hasn’t been caught.
