Update: Rookie goalie John Gibson practiced with his teammates Thursday after he was knocked out of a 4-0 loss Wednesday to Toronto when the Maple Leafs’ Nazem Kadri crashed into him early in the third period. Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau told reporters Gibson was “100 percent.” Frederik Andersen replaced Gibson in the third. … The Ducks acquired goalie Dustin Tokarski from the Montreal Canadiens for left wing Max Friberg in a swap of minor-league prospects. Tokarski, 26, has played 33 games in the NHL with the Canadiens and Tampa Bay Lightning. He’s ticketed for the Ducks’ AHL team in San Diego. … The Ducks’ loss to the Maple Leafs ended their streak of gaining at least one point in six consecutive games (4-0-2). … The Ducks are 16-16-7 overall. The Blues are 23-14-6 after a 4-3 overtime loss Wednesday to the Colorado Avalanche.
