INDUSTRY — A driver was killed early Wednesday morning when his vehicle hit a tree and became engulfed in flames.
The Coroner’s Office has not identified the dead man.
Firefighters responded to a call of a traffic crash with fire in the 13100 block of Crossroads Parkway at 2:21 a.m.
Los Angeles County Fire Inspector Randall Wright said firefighters found a vehicle that hit a tree. They pronounced one person dead at the scene, according to Wright.
Lt. Arthur Scott of the sheriff’s Industry station said the vehicle struck a tree and burst into flames.
Details about how the solo crash occurred weren’t available. Sheriff’s traffic investigators couldn’t be reached for comment on Wednesday.
