Upland crash seriously injures 14-year-old

UPLAND >> A 14-year-old girl was seriously injured in a two-car collision Wednesday evening, police say.

The girl, a passenger, was taken by helicopter to Loma Linda University Medical Center, according to police Lt. Alan Ansara.

Both drivers remained at the scene, and no one else was injured, Ansara said. There is no indication that alcohol or drugs were involved, he said.

The crash occurred about 5:30 p.m. in the intersection of Campus Avenue and 13th Street. Police asked people to avoid the area for the next three hours.
