ONTARIO >> The two men killed in a crash in Ontario over the weekend have been identified, according to San Bernardino County coroner’s officials.

Brandon Onyemaichi Nwarueze, 25, of Fontana and Steven Alvarez, 24, of Rancho Cucamonga were killed early Saturday morning following a crash near the eastbound 10 Freeway at Fourth Street, according to the corner’s website.

Just after 3 a.m. California Highway Patrol officers were called to the area for a crash, officials said. When they arrived, they found a disabled vehicle that was rear-ended by another vehicle.

Alvarez was pronounced dead at the scene. Nwarueze was taken to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, where he later died.

It wasn’t immediately clear who was in the disabled vehicle and who was in the second vehicle.
