GLENDORA >> The California Highway Patrol is asking for the public’s help in locating a driver who fled the scene of a fatal crash Monday.
The driver of a Toyota Tundra is described as an adult man in his mid-30s, 5 feet 5 inches, 160 pounds and wearing an orange shirt, jeans and work boots, authorities said in a written statement.
At 5:10 a.m., the man was driving westbound on the 210 Freeway in the far left lane next to the carpool lane, when he ran over a male motorcyclist who had lost control after an SUV drove in front of him in the HOV lane, officials said.
The Harley Davidson slid along the HOV lane into the next lane near Sunset Avenue and the motorcyclist was ejected into the same lane. The driver of the Tundra then drove over the man.
The driver stopped, made contact with motorcyclist, officials said, and then left the scene.
The motorcyclist was taken to Foothill Presbyterian Hospital where he was pronounced dead, the statement said.
