Hacienda Heights >> California Highway Patrol officers shut down two lanes on the westbound 60 Freeway in Hacienda Heights on Tuesday after a tour bus caught fire.

At 2:36 p.m. the number three and four lanes were shut down to traffic at Hacienda Boulevard, after a bus driver pulled over to the right shoulder when he saw smoke coming from the engine, CHP Sgt. Armando Perdone said.

The engine caught fire, but a cause has not been determined, he said.

There were no passengers on the bus and the driver was uninjured.

Los Angeles County firefighters put down the blaze, which gutted the back of the bus.
