POMONA >> The man who led Chino police officers on a pursuit that ended in a deadly crash in Pomona has been identified as Adrian Partida, 46, of Ontario, officials said.
Partida crashed around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at Franklin Avenue just east of South East End Avenue, according to a Pomona police statement.
Chino police began the pursuit, which made its way into Pomona, according to authorities.
The driver was traveling at a high rate of speed, the police statement says, and eventually the driver reportedly lost control, sending the vehicle into the wash basin. Partida was pronounced dead at the scene.
It’s unclear why Partida fled from officers.
