A Moreno Valley man who died Monday morning after his car collided with a large truck at a Fontana intersection has been identified.
The driver of a gray 2005 Acura, Robert A. Winstead, 25, was traveling north on Sierra Avenue shortly after 5 a.m. when the car crashed into the back of a truck in the northbound lanes, waiting to make a turn at Slover Avenue, according to the San Bernardino County Coroner and Fontana police.
Winstead was taken to Kaiser hospital where he died at 6:36 a.m., according to coroner officials. The crash is being investigated by Fontana police.
A woman who was a passenger in the Acura was not injured.
