Sheriff’s deputies in Rancho Cucamonga are looking for information about the driver of a Mercedes Benz who ran a red-light, fled from deputies and later struck a parked car.
A deputy tried to stop a silver, older model Mercedes SUV with paper plates after it ran a red-light at Arrow Route and Vineyard Avenue at 4:25 p.m. Sunday, according to a San Bernardino County sheriff’s news release.
The male driver of the Mercedes didn’t stop for the deputy, fled west on Arrow Route at speeds of up to 50 miles per hour and entered Upland. The pursuit was stopped when the deputy lost sight of the car.
Later, a person called Upland police to report the suspect Mercedes sideswiped his parked car.
