Two adults and two juveniles were transported to local hospitals Saturday after they were struck by a vehicle near a major Perris intersection, authorities said.
Just after 3:30 p.m., deputies with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department’s Perris Station received a call of a collision involving pedestrians near the intersection of Perris Boulevard and Nuevo Road, Deputy Robyn Flores said.
When deputies arrived, they found a man, woman and two juveniles had been hit, Flores said. Their injuries are not life threatening, officials said.
The driver of the vehicle was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence of a narcotic, Flores said.
Sheriff’s officials remained on scene to investigate the cause of the crash. No other details were immediately available.
