A driver was killed Tuesday, Sept. 18, when he ran a red light and struck a semitruck in Ontario, police said.
The 40-year-old Los Angeles resident, whose name was not publicly announced Tuesday, was speeding east on Chino Avenue about 12:45 p.m. when he failed to stop for the light at Euclid Avenue and hit the semi, which was headed north on Euclid Avenue, an Ontario police news release said.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi, a 38-year-old man from Rialto, was not injured, the release said.
