Country star Kane Brown has postponed his Staples Center show scheduled for Friday, Oct. 18, after his longtime drummer Kenny Dixon died in a car crash in Tennessee on Saturday.

The show has been rescheduled for Thursday, Jan. 9, Staples officials announced. Tickets for the Oct. 18 show will be honored on the new date.

“I’m gonna miss you so much man,” Brown tweeted on Sunday along with a photograph of him standing on the drum riser during a concert, grinning at Dixon as he played.

“I’d always come back and jam out with u,” the tweet continued. “(Kenny) was with me from the very beginning and will be with us when it’s all over!! Love you peep.”

Dixon, 27, was driving on Interstate 24 about 40 miles southeast of Nashville when the crash happened about 12:45 a.m. Saturday, according to the Nashville Tennessean newspaper. Speed is believed to be the cause of the crash. No drugs or alcohol are thought to have been involved.

According to the newspaper, the Tennessee Highway Patrol said that Dixon was driving a Kia Rio LX at a high speed when he left the freeway and struck with a tree.
