On September 30, 2022, at 12:11 AM, Thermal Station deputies were involved in a vehicle pursuit with Eduardo Antonio Felix, a 38-year-old resident of Coachella. The vehicle pursuit was initiated in the 83000 block of Avenue 48 in the city of Coachella, after the vehicle was determined to be stolen.
The pursuit led deputies through several streets in Coachella and ended when Felix abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot. Felix was apprehended by deputies behind the 85000 block of Huxley Court, following a short foot pursuit. He was booked at the John Benoit Detention Center for vehicle theft with prior convictions, possession of stolen property, felony evading, possession of a controlled substance, driving under the influence of a controlled substance, and resisting arrest.
