A Big Bear Lake man died after he and another person were seriously injured when two off-road motorcycles collided, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said Tuesday, April 6.
Austin Dubuque, 26, was identified as the victim in the incident, the Sheriff’s Department said.
Shortly after 7:35 p.m. on Friday, April 2, two men riding off-road motorcycles were involved in a collision in the 200 block of South Eureka Drive in Big Bear Lake. Both were ejected from their motorcycles and suffered major injuries, the Sheriff’s Department said.
Dubuque was flown to a local medical center for treatment and despite efforts from medical personnel, Dubuque died from his injuries at the hospital. The other victim was transported by ambulance to a local hospital and was later flown to a regional medical center for further treatment, according to the Sheriff’s Department.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
