Hit-and-run driver who left man badly injured in Rialto is sought

Rialto police are looking for a car and its driver that they say struck a man and fled on Thursday, May 20.

The crash happened a few minutes after 10 p.m. in the area of Willow Avenue and South Street. Officers found a man severely injured and lying in the road. The car that struck him did not stop as required by law, a news release said.

Police have identified the fleeing car as a silver 2003-2009 two-door Infinity G35 with front-end damage on the passenger side. There was no description of the driver announced in the release.

Police ask anyone with information on the car or driver to call the traffic bureau at 909-421-4981. Information may be reported anonymously through WeTip at 800-782-7463, referencing case No. 932104530.
