A 2014 Honda Odyssey van being driven by Jean Bidondoyore, an 18 year old resident of Rancho Palos Verdes Estates, was traveling westbound Pacific Coast Highway from Cherry Avenue when Sims turned left in front of him. Both injured juveniles were in the Nissan Quest.
