On October 7, 2023, at approximately 1:58 a.m., San Francisco Police officers responded to the area of 18th and Mission Streets on a report of a shooting.
When officers arrived, they located an adult male victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Officers rendered aid and summoned paramedics to the scene, who transported the victim to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. Despite life-saving efforts made by officers, emergency responders, and hospital staff, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital. No arrests have been made at this time.
Investigators from the San Francisco Police Department Homicide Detail arrived on scene and are leading this open and active investigation.
