Hijacked Muni Bus Crashes Through San Francisco’s Mission District

A man hijacked a Muni bus in San Francisco on Friday night, driving more than a mile in the Mission District and smashing into several parked cars before being apprehended, police stated.

It all started just before 8 p.m. at Cortland Avenue and Mission Street.

The 36-year-old hijacker assaulted the driver of the bus, gaining control of the steering wheel, and careening into ten cars before crashing to a halt at 19th and Guerrero Streets, where he was arrested, police said.

A video was obtained by KRON4 News of he incident. An ambulance transported the driver of a vehicle who was injured during the rampage.
