Six people had just left a party at a Hemet home, when a drunken driver struck them, pinning two of the victims below his pickup truck.
The truck then smashed into their nearby car, before coming to a rest. The crash happened on a residential street slightly before 11 p.m. near Girard Street and Menlo Avenue.
A car jack had to be used to lift the pickup truck off one victim, according to published reports.
The victims sustained injuries that ranged from moderate to serious, but all were expected to survive. The youngest victim is just six-years-old, according to published reports.
Kody Ray Cihal was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, child endangerment and other crimes. Information on Cihal’s city of residence was not immediately available, but he is estimated to be in his 40s.
