FRESNO COUNTY, Calif.- A cyclist was killed when a sports car veered into her path, causing a head-on crash, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash happened at about 10:20 a.m. on Sunday near 19580 Watts Valley Road in Fresno County.
A Fresno woman in her 50s was riding a bicycle westbound on Watts Valley Road when she crashed head on with an Acura NSX, driven by a 45-year-old man.
The Acura had veered into the cyclist’s path, causing the crash. The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated, but may face a charge of vehicular manslaughter, according to published reports.
