On August 13, 2022, at approximately 3:18 AM, Officers responded to the area of Burrell Court and West Hedding Street to investigate a traffic collision involving a vehicle into a tree. The preliminary investigation revealed the following:
A 2005 Infinity sports utility vehicle, driven by an adult male, was traveling westbound on West Hedding Street when it left the roadway and collided with a tree on the north side of the street. The driver sustained major injuries and was declared deceased at the scene by responding personnel.
The cause of the collision will remain under investigation.
This is the 41st fatal collision, and the 43rd traffic death of 2022.
The identity of the victim will be released by the Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office after confirming the victim’s identity and notifying next of kin.
