A bicyclist was killed early Monday morning, June 6, in Colton in a hit-and-run, police said.
Colton police were sent to a crash at 12:54 a.m. near the intersection of North Rancho Avenue and West Johnson Street, where a 41-year-old man was suffering from blunt force trauma, police said in a news release. The victim was treated by the Colton Fire Department, but he died at the scene, police said.
The man’s identity was being withheld pending notification of next-of-kin, authorities said.
No description was immediately for any suspects in the crash. The manner in which the crash happened wasn’t immediately clear.
