Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run collision in Norco, sheriff says

A pedestrian was run over and killed in Norco by a driver who failed to stop early Monday, May 16, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said.

The collision was reported at 1:39 a.m. in the area of 5th Street and Hamner Avenue. Paramedics treated the pedestrian before the pedestrian died at a hospital, the Sheriff’s Department said.

The person’s name was not announced.

No description of either the driver or the car was immediately available.
