Woman killed in Jurupa Valley crash Wednesday morning

A woman died in Jurupa Valley on Wednesday morning, Dec. 15, after a vehicle collision in an intersection, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said.

The crash happened around 7:10 a.m. in the intersection of Limonite Avenue and Clay Street. When responding deputies and Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire personnel arrived, they found two cars involved in a wreck, authorities said.

The driver of one of the involved cars was pronounced dead at the scene by fire personnel, the Sheriff’s Department said. No further identifying information for the woman was immediately available, pending notification of next-of-kin, the Sheriff’s Department said.

The passenger of the first involved car and driver of the second car were both transported to a hospital for medical evaluation, authorities said.

The events that led to the crash were not immediately clear.
