A man died in Eastvale on Tuesday, Nov. 23, after crashing with a semi-truck, authorities said.
The crash happened around 3:03 p.m. in the area of Bellegrave and Jamestown avenues, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said. Responding deputies and Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire personnel located the driver of a silver Toyota Avalon dead at the scene, authorities said.
The driver’s identity was being withheld pending notification of next-of-kin, the Sheriff’s Department said.
A preliminary investigation indicated the driver of the Toyota was headed east on Bellegrave when the vehicle apparently veered into oncoming traffic, striking a white Freightliner Cascadia headed west on Bellegrave, the Sheriff’s Department said.
The driver of the Freightliner was not injured and cooperated with the investigation, the Sheriff’s Department said
