Chino Hills woman killed in motorcycle crash

A Chino Hills woman was killed when the 2019 Harley-Davidson she was riding hit a metal guardrail at a freeway interchange in South El Monte, authorities said.

The crash was reported about 7:25 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, on the transition from the westbound 60 Freeway to the northbound I-605 Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The motorcyclist, Candace Ostler, 32, crashed into the guardrail, and she and the bike came to rest in a northbound I-605 lane and she was struck by a four-door sedan.

The sedan’s driver did not stop, and the CHP wants to question him or her. The CHP asked that anyone with information about the crash to call officers at 562-868-0503.
