Minivan driver dies in collision with semi-truck in Ontario

A man died after the minivan he was driving crashed into the side of a semi-truck pulling out of a driveway in Ontario on Monday afternoon, Sept. 13, police said.

The crash happened around 2:45 p.m. on Guasti Road near Cleveland Road, west of Milliken Avenue, said Lt. Bill Russell, spokesman for the Ontario Police Department. The semi-truck was pulling onto Guasti Road when the westbound minivan collided into its side, Russell said.

The Ontario Fire Department responded and pronounced the driver dead at the scene, Russell said. No identifying information was immediately available for the driver of the minivan.

There were several witnesses who were being interviewed by police in the area, Russell said.
