Suspect in 2020 fatal hit-and-run on homeless woman in Pomona arrested

A 60-year-old Corona man has been arrested for a 2020 hit-and-run that killed a 62-year-old homeless woman crossing a Pomona street, police said.

Marvin Crayton was arrested on Sunday morning, Sept. 5, by a Pomona police officer on an unrelated outstanding warrant, said Aly Mejia, a Pomona police spokeswoman.

After an interview with investigators, Crayton was taken into custody on suspicion of felony hit-and-run and misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter, police said.

On Jan. 3, 2020, Irma Galinda Guzman was crossing Holt Avenue at Short Street when a car struck her, police said, with the driver fleeing.
