Hit-and-run driver wanted after bicyclist killed in Ontario

A driver was sought by police for hit-and-run after a man was fatally struck while riding his bicycle in Ontario on Monday night, Aug. 2, police said.

The crash happened around 11 p.m. Monday in the area of Mission Boulevard and Cucamonga Avenue, the Ontario Police Department said Tuesday, Aug. 3.

The bicyclist died at the scene at 11:14 p.m., the San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office said. The victim’s name was being withheld pending identification and the notification of next of kin, the Coroner’s Office said.

The suspect’s car should have collision damage to the front of the vehicle, police said. No further identifying suspect vehicle information was immediately available.
